Who is thunder sam?

Sam Ainsworth was born in Lunenburg on the South Shore of Nova Scotia and grew up exploring the forests, rivers and beaches of that beautiful part of Canada. His sense of adventure was inspired by his mother and father who came to Canada from England on a small wooden sailboat. Brief summers were spent sailing around the magnificent but treacherous waters of Nova Scotia. 

Sam’s curiosity has lead to many different roles; fisherman on both the Atlantic and Pacific, running an Irish pub in Berlin, Horse logger(with Duke), producer of maple syrup, carpenter, diver, silviculturist and writer. Sam has been living in his remote self-built cabin on the island of Cape Breton for ten years and plans to continue writing about and exploring the positive integration of man into the beauty of the natural world.
