Bobo went back to snuffling and licking and knocked over pots and pans. Contrary to a common myth bears have amazing eyesight and their night vision is superior to humans. He had seen me at close distance and did not care. This surprised me.”

“Hot, aching, tired and bleeding the sweat and blood ran into my eyes. I plodded onward and upward despite the pain and nastiness of in all. The straps cut into my shoulders and the blackflies crawled into my ears. My heart pounded. Gravity bore its merciless force upon my mortal frame and my bones ached.
